I would first like to explain why I enrolled on this module - not because I have to, but I chose to, to make me more tolerant, think about behaviour, why we do what we do, and why I do what I do. Lets see if it makes a difference!
I enrolled because I'm studying history, and the modules seem predominantly geared towards the social aspects of history - and philosophy plays and has played a significant role in shaping the society we live in today - therefore the question 'why?' is something that we should continue to ask - even if we don't like what the answer might be!
I also decided to take this module for similar reasons. I thought it would be interesting to look at what is deemed as being bad in respect to social standards and why some people think peeing in the pool is wrong and others don't.
